200 of the brightest minds in dairy from across the world are on their way to the University of Sydney’s Camden campus for the 2023 Dairy Research Foundation Symposium.
Over the next two days, Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 November, the Symposium will showcase the industry’s most recent scientific research and developments in carbon, sustainability, business and farming production – from local and international experts – as well as the latest trends and farming tips and tricks.
Dairy Research Foundation’s Director, Professor Yani Garcia, said the Symposium will feature three international speakers; five dairy farmers; four industry experts; six Dairy UP research leaders and 10 emerging scientists.
“We have an impressive array of speakers ready for the Symposium tomorrow including some incredibly accomplished national and international dairy leaders – who are bringing with them a wealth of knowledge, insight and industry research to share with delegates.
“Led by Keynote Speaker Dr Tim Mackle, who recently retired from 15 years at the helm of Dairy NZ, these speakers will ignite discussions, allow us to reflect on our own challenges and help inform future decisions. They’ll provide a global overview and perspective, cut through the carbon confusion, and then a ‘farmers-only’ panel will provide practical tools on resilience, recovery and forward-looking ways into the future.
“On day two, we’ll head to Corstorphine Dairy where 10 emerging scientists will present their own research, as they compete a for a unique professional development opportunity – a highlight of every DRF Symposium!”
“With more than 200 tickets now sold, 2023 promises to be an excellent event, and this is only possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors DLF Seeds, Dairy Australia, NSW Government, RCI, Lactalis Australia, Scibus, Cows-R-Us, Bega, AM Dairy Solutions and Norco.”
