Born in Colombia South America, where he completed a double Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production Science, before coming to Australia with his family in 2007. After being involved in the food industry for a few years, in 2014 Jorge had the opportunity to join the team of LMT Dairy Farms, and in 2016 took over the management of the operation. During this time, he has overseen the transition from a grazing system to TMR, currently milking 800 Friesian cows housed on a compost barn.

Jorge is passionate about science and its applicability to the development of the industry and believes it is important to be competitive in all aspects to take the Australian Dairy Industry up to the standards of the global market.
